2008 Summer Staff Opportunities
Site Crew: Must be available to live and work on site during camp sessions. Site Crew is responsible for working with the Associate
Director, Facilities Director, Program Director, and other staff to provide
Guest Services, housekeeping, groundskeeping, maintenance, and
program assistance as needed for the smooth operation of camp for
our guest groups and ABCO camps. Must be a team player, willing
and able to work collaboratively with a variety of staff, performing a
variety of tasks and duties in a highly challenging and very physical
environment. Preference will be given to qualified applicants who
are Red Cross certified Life Guards. Archery training, certification,
experience is also a plus. All Site Crew will go through a High Ropes
course training at the beginning of summer.
Kitchen Crew: Must be available to live and work on site during camp sessions. Kitchen Crew is responsible for working
with the Food Services Director and, as needed, the Associate
Director, to insure that all kitchen and food service operations are
implemented according to Guest Group and camper needs, and Food
Services Director's instructions and plans. Must be a team player,
willing and able to work collaboratively with a variety of staff, in a
demanding environment. All Kitchen Crew must obtain their food
handler's cards BEFORE reporting for work.
Program Crew (PRO Crew): Must be available to live on site
for one
week of training. Must be available to live and work
on site during camp sessions to prepare and implement
ABCO Primary, Elementary, Middle School, High School, and Family
Camps under the direction, supervision, and guidance of the Program
Director. Must be available to meet and work as needed (no more than
three weekends, and one additional week) both on and off site,
between July 1st and August 10th, to work with Program Director for
planning and preparation for ABCO camps. Program staff must be
comfortable and competent performing and assisting with ALL
aspects of programming needs - music, drama, speaking, sound
and video tech support - and must demonstrate the ability to work
collaboratively with staff, campers, volunteer leaders, and
management.

2008 Volunteer Opportunities
Counselors:
Counselors are needed for the following Camp sessions:
SUMMER:
Middle School Camp: Sunday – Friday, August 10-15
High School Camp: Sunday – Friday, August 17-22
Elementary Camp: Sunday – Thursday, August 25-29
Primary Camp: Sunday – Tuesday, August 25-27
Counselors must be available for on site and online training, and must undergo a criminal background check. Counselors must be available to be on site by 12:00 noon Sunday for all camps.
Counselors are expected to stay after campers leave in order to
assist with camp session transitions, therefore it is highly
reccomended that counselors not be responsible for transporting
campers to and from camp.
Counselors must be at least 16 years old, AND at least six years older
than the oldest camper in the camp session. Counselors must have
experience working with children and youth, and must be comfortable
and competent in leading Bible studies, games, small-group
discussions, and with the supervision of children and youth.

C-I-T's
CITs (Counselors-in-Training) are needed for our Primary, Elementary,
and Middle School sessions. CITs must be at least 16 years old, and
at least six years older than the oldest camper in their session.
